Overview

The X1 Hybrid combines a 13.3-inch Intel/Windows notebook with a second Qualcomm/Linux media environment. Its hybrid design was about two computing platforms, not a detachable display.

Historical context

Its hybrid label referred to two computing environments rather than a folding screen: Windows handled normal PC work while the Qualcomm/Linux Instant Media Mode targeted media and web use with lower power demand.
